Foiling Code of conduct

The Foiling Code of Conduct is a set of guidelines and principles designed to promote safety, respect, and responsible behavior among fliteboarding and hydrofoil enthusiasts.

  1. Safety First: Prioritize safety at all times, both for yourself and for others. Be aware of your surroundings, follow all local laws and regulations, and always wear appropriate safety gear, including a helmet and personal flotation device.
  2. Respect Others: Show respect and consideration for other water users, including swimmers, surfers, kayakers, and boaters. Yield to other vessels when appropriate and avoid crowded or congested areas.
  3. Stay at least 100m off the shoreline and if in a busy beach move away from the busy spots. The beauty of efoiling is that you can go anywhere
  4. Know Your Limits: Be honest with yourself about your skill level and physical abilities. Only attempt maneuvers and conditions that you are comfortable and confident with, and never push yourself beyond your limits.
  5. Communicate Effectively: Use clear and courteous communication with other foilers, water users, and bystanders. Signal your intentions, give way when necessary, and avoid aggressive or reckless behavior.
  6. Be Prepared: Always be prepared for unexpected situations or emergencies by carrying appropriate safety equipment, such as a whistle, signaling device, or first aid kit.
  7. Continuous Learning: Commit to ongoing learning and improvement by seeking out instruction, practicing regularly, and staying informed about the latest safety guidelines and best practices.

By adhering to these principles and guidelines, fliteboarders and hydrofoil enthusiasts can help create a safer, more enjoyable, and more sustainable environment for everyone to enjoy the thrill of foiling.
